WE ARE THE CLAY
The first thing you need to know about us is that we are always being shaped and molded into what God desires. We don't have everything figured out when it comes to being his church or participating in his work, but we are willing to follow His lead. We want to know the Potter, our Creator, and understand his will and purpose for us both individually and as a church.
WHERE WE'RE GOING
WE ARE A CHURCH STRIVING TO BE MORE
more accepting and genuine
more about people
more in worshiping
more trusting of the Holy Spirit
more in Holiness
more in God's Word
more in service and love
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to worship through a mix of old and new music, in a traditional yet relaxed atmosphere, and hear preaching that matters to everyday life
Expect to connect with a group that desires to learn, grow, eat, and be active together.
Expect to be used by God in new and powerful ways, making a difference for his kingdom.
WHO WE ARE
Our church family has been around for almost 100 years. We have experienced seasons of growth and seasons of struggle, but the goal to be God's people has never changed. We are a church that has learned how God is always looking to do something new and we want to be part of whatever that may be. We are also a church that will never be complete, and we will always be searching for one more who needs to know Jesus for the first time.
...in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
...God the Father created all that exists because of love and maintains relationship with His creation
...Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth as a human, gave his life on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and lives today.
...the Holy Spirit reveals God to all who want to be aware of Him in this world and dwells in those who believe in Him.
...God so deeply loves people that He has provided all that is needed for salvation and life.
...humans were created in the image of God and were meant to live in close fellowship with God, but that relationship was broken.
...all people are separated from God unless Jesus Christ becomes their Savior and Lord.
...the appropriate response to God’s love and grace is our expression of gratitude through worship.
...God’s Spirit fully dwells in and transforms persons to become like Jesus Christ in character and attitude, affecting their thoughts, words, and actions. This transformation begins at conversion and continues through the experience of sanctification.
...Christians become part of a worldwide community of faith known as the Church.
...the Church has a divine purpose and mission in the world.
...the sacramental actions of Baptism and Holy Communion symbolize the life and relationship a believer has with God through His love and grace.
...in the resurrection of the dead, and in a future judgment in which every person will appear before God. Everlasting life is assured to all who believe in, and obediently follow Jesus Christ as Lord.
...in the revelation of God through the Holy Bible as the inspired and authoritative source of truth in all things concerning salvation and sanctification.
